History

Since 1971 the Calgary Abruzzese Cultural Association has proudly celebrated the rich customs and traditions of Abruzzo. Our founders inspired an opportunity for Abruzzese members of our community to highlight and preserve the distinct culture of this region of Italy. Each year, our banquet brings to life aspects of Abruzzo through the food we enjoy, authentic music and dance, and the great company we share.  We are especially honoured to provide scholarship opportunities to support students of Abruzzese descent and recognize their many contributions and successes within our city.
